Visiting Family in Naples

On Wednesday, we drove down to Naples to see my Aunt and Uncle. Keith was able to get in another golf day but this time with my Uncle and two of his friends. I was able to find a Groupon for them at Eagle Lakes Golf Course, which according to them, was a great deal. So off they went to play 18 rounds of golf in the hot sun.

My Aunt and I spent the day shopping and then finished it off with a glass of bubbly. We mainly stuck to the Home Goods and Marshall's so I could find some home items for the RV. Spoiler alert, I did!

The guys came back exhausted and hungry so we headed to the beach for dinner and drinks. I had the second best Bloody Mary I've had on this trip. The golf course in Ft.Myers is still the winner!

It was a great day but we were both tired and ready to crash. Thanks family for having us - we love you all!!

Golfing in Ft.Myers, Florida

Keith has been wanting to golf and sadly our last attempt in Ocala didn't pan out, so I planned him a golf day thanks to Groupon at Myerlee Country Club.

I managed to book him a tee time for the early afternoon and we were under the impression it would just be him and me driving the cart. Well, we showed up and Keith was paired with a high school kid on Spring Break. His grandpa decided to tag along so he drove their cart and I drove ours.

It was an insanely windy day (see video below) so to say they played poorly would be accurate but I am sure Keith would say he at least had fun. Thankfully around the 8th hole we managed to get the best Bloody Mary I have ever had in my life. They were 2 for $5 or 6 for $11 - STEAL OF A DEAL!

We grabbed two for the rest of the course and then after the 18th we headed back for 2 more. We may need to go back before we leave just for the drinks.

Our First PGA Tour - The Mayakoba Classic

Yesterday we had the opportunity to go to the Mayakoba Classic to watch Matt Kutchar win the PGA tournament.

Keith is an avid golfer, and after seeing what they win, I wish he was a professional golfer. Matt walked away with $1,296,000.00!

Anyways, Keith was in hog heaven watching all the golfers and seeing many golf idols! I thought it would be boring but I had a lot of fun, more than I thought. Our friend, Dave, gave us passes to get in as he volunteered for the tournament and had a few extra. Our other friends, Kathy and Dan, came too. I think it's safe to say we all enjoyed the day.

We decided to go to the 18th hole to just watch everyone roll in. I am glad we did as we had the best seats in the house. Plus, if you go to PGA Tour on Instagram or their website, you will see our faces right behind Kutchar as he celebrates his win. Our faces ended up making several papers, Golf Digest and the PGA website.
